The ‘People’s Poet’ was how he was referred to by a Prime Minister of Australia.
Others would refer to him as a ‘lovable larrikin’, a ‘Bush Balladeer’, a hopeless hobo.
But all would agree – Henry Lawson was always true to his dream…..always able to lift the rest of us up with him, with his magnificent words…and his passion for his country and its people – the ‘Faces in the Street’.
